Crimson Rapture
In the corner I sit,
Awaiting a time that is right.
The dark rapture of time
Watching me in sorrows and pain.
With a slendering knife in my palm,
Blood tears I cry,
Dripping and dripping
Slowly down my cheek.
"The time has come,"
The harsh rippling wind whispers.
I stand alone
And darkened by each passing moment
In time and space.
The world's cruel mockery I can no longer take,
The wounds I have made from self mutilation.
Bleed of crimson blood,
But I can't feel any pain.
I hide my true emotions.
So others don't worry or care,
But only as a mask,
And only to take off that mask,
To reveal a darker, deeper,
And more emotional me
That few have ever seen.
So I stand up,
With the blade
Pointed straight at my heart.
My friends watch,
But take no part
In trying to save me from
Hell's greedy hands.
Yet, this is the only thing making me happy.
Never to see the light again,
My world turns darker
Until only blackness is left.
My tainted quivering soul
Is finally at rest.
