For Marie

Stand upon the water,
An empty shell as any.
Wind at your back,
Whisper all too softly,

"Sing for Marie, wings for Marie."

Under a nightfall,
And lights play on your face.
Why won't you turn around, and,
You spoke to me...

"Sing for Marie, wings for Marie."

Lost in the tunnel,
Swept within your mind.
Fly away, my love,
As we all know.

"Sing for Marie, wings for Marie."

We're all lost without you,
And my breath gives way.
No ones here to save us.
Too difficult for me to admit.

"Sing for Marie, wings for Marie."

So don't leave me be,
Disappear, crawl away,
Abandon all measure,
Cage an animal, fear reside.

"Sing for Marie, wings for Marie."

Burn the pages,
One by three, two, one.
There's time to slow,
You to dream of.

"Sing for Marie, wings for Marie."

And while you sing, think of me.
While you dream, drown it all.
No more worries, no more falling.
I'll always be right here, waiting.

So slow your tempos while you

"Sing for Marie."

And I'll smile and give

"Wings for Marie."
