Early Mourning Sunshine
Ride on wings of flames my dear,
They'll burn you as you soar.
Forget your hopes, murder your dreams,
Leave everyone behind.
They'll douse the fire with your blood,
Cover the remnants of your corpse.
Shield the eyes of passersby,
As you wallow in your pain.
You've lost the expectations
Of the ones you thought you loved.
What did they do when you pleaded for help?
They watched,
And they waited.
They shadowed your low hung head.
Who will be there at your funeral?
Me beside your mournful ghost.
"I miss you," I'll whisper, then turn and walk away.
Exit the sorrowful room,
Where your body lay lifeless,
A tear swimming down your once rose colored cheek,
As though you wish to say,
"Goodbye my love,
Goodbye."
