For What's Left Of Me
Rain drops fall from clouds,
Clouds dark with eyeliner,
Onto lonely cheeks.
I stare out the window,
Snow falls gently by the creek.
Little children laughing and singing,
Joyful Christmas time again.
As I sit here all alone crying myself to sleep again,
Praying for an answer to my prayers.
I walk down the halls of school today,
Full of gossip,
Notes are passing,
Lies are flying in and out like clockwork,
I stand alone.
No one hears my silent cry,
I weep alone with no one by my side.
Daddy left me long ago,
Mommie today.
I don't miss them so,
I'm tired of this.
I scream yet no one hears me,
I sing my song out of tune,
My life flashes before me,
And I wish that I was you.
I wish I was you.
