For When Love Is Lost And There Is No Where Left To Turn

Listen close little children,
To my solumn tale.
Love is a mystery
No one can unveil.

He stands there on his knees,
Pleading for her love.
She turns her back,
She never wants his convenant.

She left him at the alter,
Once, than twice again.
But he loved her so he gave her one more chance.

They arrived all dressed up nice,
Him in black, she in white.
And there was no surprise,
She left the altar one more time.

He doesn't know what to do.
He loves her but he hates her to.
And though he loved her,
With passion and trust,
All she ever wanted was lust.

And I can say with open heart tonight,
The pain will hopefully subside.
Because this boy can't take much more,
And he shouldn't have to.

He goes on in lonely strife,
All the while he was in a battle
Of never ending love.

So do fairytales exist?
Because if they do,
This wasn't his.

And he will get more shots at love,
But for they while he releases the doves,
Standing on the altar all alone,
All the relatives had gone home.

Poor, poor, groom,
There's no where left to run.

So he just sits there,
Till the dusk turns to dawn,
Till the animals rest,
Till time stands still.

The clocks stop.
He waits and waits
For his love
To come back to his arms.

Hold her close,
Keep her from harm,
But he knows that this dream will never come true.
But that doesn't mean he will stop loving you.
